DETROIT, May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- General Motors (NYSE: GM) announced today that 171 supplier companies have been selected as the corporation's "Worldwide Suppliers of the Year 1993." The award recipients were selected by cross functional international GM teams for exceeding specific performance standards in the three critical areas of quality, service and price.
The 171 suppliers, who were chosen from GM's worldwide supply base of more than 30,000 suppliers, will receive the GM Quality, Service, Price Award at a ceremony in London, England, on Saturday.
