The concept of a hybrid vehicle is to essentially take different technologies--mechanical and electric--and combine them into one. Interestingly enough, what is considered to be the first production hybrid chassis in the U.S. is the result of a similar kind of melding, this time between three separate manufacturers.
Canada's Azure Dynamics has established a cooperative venture with Workhorse Custom Chassis and Productive Concepts Inc.
