More than 100 Harper College faculty members wore red and held signs in front of the college board Tuesday, standing firm on two sticking points in negotiations for a new contract.
The teachers union lowered its demands on salary increases and retirement benefits Tuesday, but it said it is not budging on the issues of office hours and time allotted for working on union business.
The negotiations between the 216 full-time faculty members and the college have been taking place for the past six months and their current contract expired in August. A second federal mediation session is set for Friday, and if it's not ...
