Mobile phone use is widespread among adolescents and young adults; however, only a small amount of research has been undertaken into the psychological factors influencing mobile phone use. Tills paper expands that research base by investigating the frequency of mobile phone use by young people and their beliefs in relation to their phone use. The results enable the authors to suggest ways of reducing inappropriate mobile phone use.
