TEACHERS should use commercial computer games in classes, a Government backed report claims.
It says pupils can learn vital skills from computer games in lessons, such as negotiating and decision-making. Educational games have 'limited commercial appeal'.
Staff, parents and governors often see games as 'incompatible' with learning in schools. But manufacturers could overcome resistance by producing detailed guidance and support materials for teachers, according to the research by the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association, backed by the Department for Education and Skills.
