HANESBRANDS INC. COMPLETES SPIN-OFF FROM SARA LEE.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Hanesbrands Inc., a leading marketer of innerwear, outerwear and hosiery apparel, on Sept. 5 completed its spin-off as an independent company from Sara Lee Corporation. Hanesbrands stock began trading Sept. 6, 2006, on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol HBI. It is the largest spin-off and IPO in the past 12 months.

Hanes Printables, the division that serves the apparel decorator and promotional products industries, is part of the new Hanesbrands. The division has been renamed Imagewear, officials said.
