Looking back to the future. (U.S. Supreme Court's 1993-94 term)

Recent history of the US Supreme Court suggests the court's conservative bent will continue during the 1993-94 term, that the decrease in number of cases decided will continue and and that the splintered court will make for fewer majority rulings on key constitutional questions. Even if the newest justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, continues her liberal bent, five firmly conservative votes will remain on the court. Ginsburg is most likely to affect Establishment Clause, abortion and sex discrimination cases.
