Oct. 7--CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- Former Bradley County Elections Administrator David Ellis was fired by the county in a unanimous vote by election commissioners Friday. During a special called meeting, Commissioner Harlan White made a motion to terminate Mr. Ellis' employment based on findings of the commissioners and a county investigation. "The time has come for us to make a decision," he read from a statement, "and sometimes we have to disagree with our friends." According to a letter from County Mayor D. Gary Davis to the commission, Mr. Ellis sold Palm Pilots and software for use at voter registration precincts to Bradley County ...
