Oct. 8--Think opera, and a sturdy Brunhilda in winged helmet, preparing for the gallant Ride of the Valkyries, may come to mind.

Think ballet, and most envision graceful, lithe "swans" floating across the stage.

French dance company Lyon Opera Ballet is offering up avant-garde ballet that merges these images.
