Chipping away at saturated fat.(ROLLOUT)(Frito-Lay Inc. will start using NuSun sunflower oil in its Lay's and Ruffles potato chip brands)(Brief article)

By the end of the year, Frito-Lay Inc., a Plano, Texas, division of PepsiCo, will reduce the saturated fat in its Lay's and Ruffles potato chip brands by more than 50 percent by switching to NuSun sunflower oil, a heart healthy oil. As with Frito-Lay's entire portfolio of snack chips, Lay's and Ruffles have 0g of trans fat. Lay's, Frito-Lay's largest brand with more than $2 billion in sales, currently is available with NuSun in the Northeast.
