Oct. 10--OSAKA -- Hankyu Department Stores Inc. and Hanshin Department Store Ltd. said Tuesday they will set up special teams under their business cooperation committee to compile detailed tie-up plans.
The move follows their agreement last month to form a comprehensive business alliance and the integration of their Osaka-based parents -- Hankyu Holdings Inc. and Hanshin Electric Railway Co. -- under a new holding company on Oct. 1.
The two department stores said a total of eight teams specializing in different product fields, such as women's clothing, food gifts, and house furnishings, will hold meetings regularly to work out tie-up plans by next March, ...
