CANBERRA, Oct 11 Asia Pulse - The government will deal with minor amendments to the proposed media laws but will not let the package be cherry picked, Communications Minister Helen Coonan says.
Senator Coonan yesterday agreed to water down the new laws to meet the demands of Nationals and rural Liberal senators concerned about a loss of media diversity.
The last minute deal ensured Nationals support for the package, but Nationals senator Barnaby Joyce today did not rule out moving further amendments.
