Oct. 11--INDEPENDENCE -- In just over a month's time, Buchanan County voters will decide whether to approve $15 million in bonds for two building projects.
And the close proximity has proponents of both concerned about how to keep the issues separate.
On Nov. 7, Buchanan County residents will consider authorizing $4.25 million in bonds for a jail. On Dec. 12 -- 36 days later -- residents in the Independence School District will turn around and vote on a $10.8 million bond referendum for a high school.
