WHEN SEVERAL HUNDRED PROTESTERS marched in Windsor, Ont., on Aug. 6, to vent over our government's response to the Mideast war, they didn't do much to sway Ottawa. But their dissent did have an impact halfway around the world. Al Jazeera's website, with the help of a freelance reporter, ran with the story, spinning it to persuade the Arab world that Canadians were up in arms over the Conservative government's tough anti-Hezbollah stance.
