The time is right for US machine tool manufacturers to gain back some of the ground lost to their overseas counterparts in the last 10 years, according to Michael Wicken, president of machine builder Boston Digital Corp. He made clear Boston Digital's intention to take back market share--at the expense of foreign builders--at an open house at the company's Milford, MA, facility.
"The last defensive trench has been dug by Boston Digital," Mr Wicken said. "We have the right product, the situation with the world economy is in our favor, and our government is inclined to support the revitalization of the US machine tool industry."
