Karachi, Oct. 11 (PPI): Smith, a Singapore-based company Thursday started the salvage operation of the oil barge capsized near the Karachi Port after getting permission from Karachi Port Trust (KPT). The Dutch team, hired by KPT for the monitoring of salvage operation, also approved the operational plan. The operation plan was chalked out by Smith, engaged by owner of barge, on the basis of a survey report prepared by a team of divers who had made it after physically examining the capsized barge.
