Oct. 14--ELON -- Pete Lembo drops bundles of acronyms into coachspeak with his football staff at Elon University.
His term H.O.M. refers to plays that contain an increased risk factor. "As in hit or miss," the first-year coach said.
Elon has developed a knack for connecting on an alarming frequency of those this season, as creative gadget plays have become a staple of the team's aggressively revamped style.
