Oct. 16--Contemporary art and the Joslyn Art Museum aren't often associated with each other. Nebraska's largest museum is renowned for its collection of art from the American West, specifically Karl Bodmer's sketches from his 1832 expedition. The museum has brought in crowds for exhibits featuring traditional works, such as a display of Degas' dancers. The Joslyn's current exhibit -- "Art on the Edge: Modern & Contemporary Art From the Permanent Collection" -- could be a turning point.
