Oct. 17--You may have caught the weekend news about the U.S. Air Force Memorial's belated dedication, the last service branch to get one.
It has three sleek spires stretching skyward, mimicking the "bomb burst" pattern left by exhaust trails of the precision flying Thunderbirds' drill as they streak straight up, up and away. Air Force pride was bursting.
It's soaring, too, because of three other towers of strength -- one from Waukesha County.
