CUPERTINO, Calif., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced that it has completed its merger of Central Point Software, Inc., a Beaverton, Ore.-based company. 
The acquisition was a pooling of interests where all outstanding shares of Central Point stock were exchanged for an aggregate of approximately 4 million shares of Symantec stock.  The total value of the transaction was approximately $60 million.
