Oct. 18--One of the two or three most powerful computers in the world is coming to Long Island, to help science and industry explore an exciting array of new frontiers. This breakthrough in computational science is a major turning point for Brookhaven National Laboratory, where the computer will live; for Stony Brook University, which will control it jointly with the lab, and for our entire region.
