The American Basketball Association will add teams from Little Rock and Fayetteville to its lineup this fall.
Keith Newton, vice president of operations with Wildhorse Entertainment of Bentonville, said the Fayetteville team will be called the Arkansas Aeros.
A Little Rock team also will launch this fall, but it has yet to be named. Wildhorse owns the Arkansas Stars, a National Indoor Football League football team in Fayetteville.
Newton said Wildhorse is trying to hire Meadowlark Lemon, the former Harlem Globetrotter, or Otis Birdsong, the former Boston Celtic, as player coach or to work in the marketing department.
