As required by the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004 (FALCPA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a report to Congress regarding the risk of cross-contact with major food allergens and the use of advisory label statements. See FOOD INSTITUTE REPORT, Sept. 11, page 9 for earlier story. Food Institute Counsel OLSSON, FRANK & WEEDA PC, issued the following summary of this review:
