Oct. 18--TOKYO -- The government will implement additional sanctions against North Korea banning the export of luxury items, such as automobiles, liquor and cigarettes, as the U.N Security Council adopted sanctions against the country, included in which is an embargo on luxury items, government sources said.
The additional sanctions are expected to be decided officially by the end of this week.
The government also plans to expand the list of organizations and individuals suspected of being involved in North Korea's illegal acts to prohibit overseas remittances. According to the sources, luxury goods exported to North Korea are distributed by the ...
