Venture capital has been the "lifeblood'' of Sensicore Inc., CFO Christine Gibbons said.
The Ann Arbor-based company was founded in 2000 and has developed a handheld device that tests water for pollution and provides results in four minutes.
As the company has worked to bring its technology to market, it has relied upon $27.5 million in venture capital raised since 2000 to fund its projects and day-to-day operations.
"We've done some great development, and we could not have done it without the venture capital that we've raised,'' Gibbons said.
