Oct. 19--Whether they're performing hip-hop, tap or jazz routines, dance energizes the young members of Bolingbrook Park District's Danceforce, as does giving to charities. The 150-member troupe often performs to raise money for charitable causes. It has held concerts that raised $1,000 for victims of Hurricane Katrina and $6,000 for children affected by the south Asian tsunami. Members' giving, however, does not stop with such large-scale efforts.
