Oct. 19--King's Academy officials have asked the Schuylkill Valley School Board to allow students from the private school to play for district sports teams.
No agreement has been reached, but the Schuylkill Valley School Board is expected to discuss the issue at its meeting Monday at 7 p.m. in the elementary center.
The Christian school in Centre Township does not have a formal athletic program.
"I just think that this is a great way public and private schools can work together," said Daniel Tubbs, administrator at King's Academy.
