Oct. 18--A Portland man involved in buying prominent properties in Redmond and downtown Bend plans to plead guilty in connection with defrauding US Bank and has repaid the financial institution $1.5 million, his attorney said Tuesday.
David Shelofsky is charged in U.S. District Court with bank fraud in the alleged embezzlement of money while he worked as an investigative recovery manager for US Bank in Portland, as first reported in The Oregonian on Sunday. He held the roughly $35,000-a-year job from 2002 to 2005, said his Portland attorney, Stephen Houze.
