Don't count NFL television viewers among those who are resistant to change.
The NFL tested its fans by shaking up TV coverage this season, moving "Monday Night Football" from ABC to ESPN and "Sunday Night Football" from ESPN to NBC. The intent was to have the Sunday night game replace the Monday night game as the pinnacle of the NFL weekend. "Monday Night Football" had been a prime-time staple of ABC for 36 years.
Viewers have gone along with the plan. Through seven games of the 2006 season, "Sunday Night Football" is averaging 17.2 million viewers, 6 percent better than the first seven games of "Monday Night Football" ...
