Oct. 20--BRANDON -- The Aberdeen Central volleyball squad soared to its familiar perch Thursday night. The Golden Eagles clinched sole possession of the Eastern South Dakota Conference championship.
Central defeated Brandon Valley 25-20, 26-24, 25-7 to win the ESD title outright for the fifth time in a six-year period. The Eagles shared the league crown last season.
Aberdeen Central coach Greg Murley said the ESD titles are something that the players and the fans take pride in. "I'm glad to be a part of that," Murley said.
