Husky Energy held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday to mark the official opening of the Tucker oil sands project, the company's first oil sands development.
Located 20 miles northwest of Cold Lake, Alberta, Tucker was completed on time and below its C$500 million (US$440 million) budget (OD Aug.22,p6). Construction began in the fall of 2004.
