Oct. 22--WHITEWATER -- A year has passed since a bus that carried band members from a state competition struck a jackknifed semitrailer. For the Chippewa Falls High School marching band, this year's event is a time for reflection and rededication.
The horrific collision last year injured several and killed five, including Douglas "G" Greenhalgh, the school's popular band director.
The band of about 190 members finished fifth in their division Saturday at the Wisconsin State Marching Band Championships at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
