PITTSBURGH, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Nationwide, three out of four homeowners use their guest rooms for storage instead of ... well, guests. Yet a remarkable majority - 78 percent of all homeowners - expects overnight visitors this Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Yikes. There simply won't be enough sofas and sleeping bags to go around.
Christmas and Thanksgiving were the most popular holidays for overnight visitors, in that order, followed distantly by Fourth of July, New Year's and Easter respectively, according to a national guest room survey conducted by Olympic Paints and Stains.
