In July 2002, the U.S. EPA awarded a grant to the Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA) to conduct a public education and training program to increase the reuse and recycling of construction and demolition debris. The purpose of the $75,000 grant was to provide technical assistance to the public and private institutions, corporations and companies to hdp them implement C&D recycling. Under the program, participants were required to:
