Oct. 24--DART and the Dallas City Council remained far apart Monday on several major issues as a vote nears on the transit agency's long-range rail plans.
That vote, scheduled for tonight, will set rail construction projects through 2030, but the two sides still have differences about priorities. Those differences led to a special City Council meeting Monday after Mayor Laura Miller threatened last week to fire Dallas' DART board representatives. No action against the board members was taken at the meeting.
