Oct. 24--One of the architects of Britain's cable television industry has died.
Cob Stenham sat on the board of Telewest for 12 years, becoming deputy chairman of NTL when the pair merged in March.
He was also chairman of plant hire firm Ashtead, which fell 6 1/4p to 139 1/2p. Stenham, 74, is understood to have suffered a heart attack in the US over the weekend.
He first underwent heart surgery more than 30 years ago.
He married twice, but recently broke up with second wife Anne O'Rawe. They have two daughters. Before his foray into cable TV, Stenham was the long-serving finance director at food giant ...
