Oct. 25--The first Delta II rocket built entirely in Decatur is to launch from Cape Canaveral, Fla., at 7:38 p.m. today.
The rocket will launch a golf-cart size NASA satellite that, in conjunction with another satellite, will photograph and analyze eruptions of matter from the sun with three-dimensional studies that will come to Earth-bound researchers in real time. The two-year, two-satellite mission will cost about $550 million.
