Akin Omotoso thinks "it's kind of cool'' that he has been nominated for the Young Artist Award for his work as a filmmaker because it reminds him that somewhere, someone is watching his work.
"And when it's totally unexpected it's even better. I know a lot of people who have been nominated, some who have won, and I respect their work," he said.
The 31-year-old was born in Nigeria and grew up in the university town of Ife, but now calls Johannesburg home.
