In 1992, Louisiana-born democratic political consultant James Carville helped craft the campaign that propelled Bill Clinton into the White House. Carville remains a force in Democratic politics, and most recently served as executive producer on "All the King's Men," based on Robert Penn Warren's 1946 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel about Willie Stark, a fictional Louisiana demagogue inspired by legendary 1930s Gov. Huey P. Long. (The film opens internationally next month.)
