COTTAGE GROVE - Over the years, Danny Horner has given all of his sprint cars female names, so there's been Naudia and Daisy and, next year, long-framed Lilly.
In christening this year's sprint car Jazmine, while the car with the 360-cubic-inch engine was being built during the offseason, Horner was inspired by the heroine in the Disney movie "Aladdin," and was hoping for a magic carpet ride.
It has been just that for the 24-year-old Cottage Grove driver, who has piloted Jazmine to seven victories and two championships while building a reputation as one of the West Coast's best young drivers.
