Oct. 26--As Andrew Polakowski was being buried yesterday, Ohio State University announced that inspections and tests have uncovered no more faulty elevators in its residence halls. Polakowski, known as "Polo" to many of his friends, was laid to rest in his hometown of Erie, Pa.
The 18-year-old freshman was crushed to death by an elevator with a brake problem Friday in Stradley Hall. Since then, inspectors hired by Ohio State have been testing or visually inspecting the other 67 elevators in residence halls.
