Belgian KBC Securities vies for top spot on Hungary's brokerage market

BUDAPEST. OCTOBER 26. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Belgian-owned brokerage KBC Securities Magyarorszagi Fioktelep is aiming to become Hungary's top brokerage firm in terms of stock exchange turnover, moving up from second place in part by targeting the retail investor segment, company officials said at a press conference on Thursday.

"Our goal is to acquire a leading position in stock exchange trading," CEO Zsolt Horvath said. "The difference to our rivals is already minimal."
