Oct. 27--Touting support from a well-known professional golfer and the U.S. Department of Energy, the company developing a massive 1,766-acre resort outside Desert Hot Springs presented flashy plans for the project while it waits to be annexed into the city and approved.

Brian Harnik, the developer's attorney with Indian Wells-based Roemer, Harnik & Nethery LLP, said the project's next step is to get its final Environmental Impact Report approved and seek city entitlements while Desert Hot Springs applies to annex the property from Riverside County.
