Oct. 27--The deputy medical examiner is under investigation for allegedly stealing Palm Beach County materials and using the county morgue for a private autopsy practice, authorities confirmed Thursday. The inquiry could spread to others in the Medical Examiner's Office. The allegations were in an anonymous Oct. 13 letter to County Administrator Robert Weisman. It said Dr. Eroston Price has been abusing her position since taking the job in March 2005. The County Sheriff's Office is investigating the charges. The letter claims Price, 46, conducted private autopsies on county time, used county equipment to perform the autopsies, ...
