Whether or not one believes that the Bible is a sacred text of Scripture, one cannot deny its influence upon literature, history, and culture. Therefore, one cannot receive a sufficient education without at least having a working knowledge of the Bible's narrative, literary forms, major figures, and main interpretations. Yet, according to the Bible Literacy Project's "Bible Literacy Report" merely four out of thirty public schools studied had a class about the Bible.
