Adrian Morfee's book provides a brilliant and ground-breaking approach to reading Artaud. In particular, it focuses on his difficult late writings, which remain, as Morfee notes, 'surprisingly under-discussed' (p. 3).
In his introduction, Morfee offers a useful critique and correction of some cliches that have continued to appear in Artaud criticism to date.
