Terrestrials-patterns that imitate land insects--have been inaccurately labeled as "summer" flies by many anglers. And that's unfortunate, because they can actually provide superb fishing starting in April or May in most regions.
Land insects manage to stumble, jump, and get blown by wind or washed by rain into streams and lakes countless times every day. When they do, they are quickly converted to trout food."
