Oct. 27--An investigation by the Berks County commissioners found that personal information of no more than 36 gun permit holders was accessed on the Internet because of a contractor's error, Commissioner Mark C. Scott said Thursday.
Scott claims news articles have implied that all of the more than 25,000 permit holders are at risk of having their identities stolen.
"I have to object to the way the articles are continually worded," he said. "It's really gotten to be sensationalized. I'm getting tired of this."
