Oct. 28--The eyes of the world will focus on Chattanooga this afternoon as 13 competitive eaters vie to win Krystal Square Off III, the world hamburger eating championship, and share a $30,000 cash purse.
"These are the greatest eaters known to man," said George Shea, chairman of the International Federation of Competitive Eating. "Three years ago, it took eating 25-35 Krystals to qualify; this year it took eating 51 to qualify for the final table."
