THE devastated family of a drowned fisherman had already been struck by tragedy after a similar trawler disaster almost 30 years ago.
Skipper Martin Gardner and his three crew have been missing since their trawler Meridian disappeared in violent storms last Thursday night.
The tragedy is the second to strike Mr Gardner's family after his cousin died along with six crew when his fishing boat sank in 1979.
